I might have done some crazy things in my life, but getting back to roller blades at mid age is never one of the items on my list.

Oh, well, at least it WAS NOT before this Chinese New Year! I guess with years of back pain problems, I really learn that the only thing that I can do about pain is to stay away from anything that can cause the pain. Plus, my life is already quite occupied and I really not need to take any risk to break any of my arms and legs what so ever.

But 9-days of vacation and meals after meals with relatives can really change a person's mind. I have heard about how people get on a vacation overseas and fall in love dramatically with some strangers; or how couple go on vacation and got a baby that they are longing for; stuff like that always impresses me. Now, I did something probably as crazy but luckly no commitment involved in, I bought a pair of Roller Baldes at the age of 38.

Roller Blades is nothing new to me. I got my first pair in the good old days back to the States. I sometimes went to the LA beaches by myself and roller blading. Enjoyed the sun, the wind, the ocean view. But that was like... 12 years ago??! I left my old pair and my old number 7 golf club in my old boyfriend's house before I came back to Taipei. And then the old boyfriend became ex-boyfriend.... that's pretty much the story.

It's cool to get back to the wheels again. At least my daughter thinks I am REALLY cool. HA!
