My last visit to Tokyo was in July, now the weather is getting down, but still bareable comparing to Seoul, I guess. I am not in particular fond of Tokyo in a way that 1) it's really crowded, 2) I think the club and night life must be great around here, but I am old for that, and 3) the women here are so skinny so nothing, NOTHING, really fit my size. no shopping, no fun.

But I like Japan in general, most because in my college time back in 1990, I had hang out with the Japanese group. Learn a few words, know the culture from the history of arts with all teh Buhda's drapery, and I just adore Japanese food so so much. I still remember the friend that got me into Uni. The first taste was odd but the second time, I felt right in love with it. But of course, in a business trip, I don't usually get to order this kind of dish.

Also, I love the Kimono, the traditional Japanese dress very much. When I visited my friend back then, we went to the Kimono Shop and saw how they made those beautiful, hand-made, crazy elegant piece in Kyoto city and then I visited one of my friends in Tokyo since her grandmother was the master of dressing people in Kimono. She actually put one in me and let me try it on. Usually it takes hours to get the whole thing on but of course, we didn't have the time to do everything. Just spend like 40 minutes and took a few photoes. But the experience was just so amazing.

My mom always said that I must have had one life (before this one) as a Japanese. My dad hates Japanese food, he never understand why do people like cold food, that is, sushi and nigiri. I took my dad and my mom to Hokaido last year. We were trying different Japanese food when travelling but one night when my dad realized that we were having western buffet with roast beef in a nice hotel, he always bursted into tears. That's how I understand that how much he hated the Japanese food, even though he was never reluctant to say so. He ate it because he had to.

Fun!
